Beacon of Hope Crisis Center offers prevention, education, awareness, advocacy services, and programs for domestic violence and sexual assault. Victim advocates are professionals trained to support victims of crime. Advocates offer victims information, help them connect to resources, and fill out paperwork. Advocates also accompany victims to court, law enforcement interviews, and hospitals.

Crisis (24 Hour) Telephone: Indiana Legal Services provides free legal assistance to low-income Hoosiers in a variety of civil matters including housing and evictions, expungements, obtaining driver’s licenses, family law issues, Medicaid and other health care and public benefits issues, debt collection defense and other consumer problems, and other areas.

The Housing & Consumer Justice Program offers services for housing-related issues, such as evictions, security deposits, repairs, accessibility, and habitability issues. It also offers services for consumer-related issues like debt collection and garnishments. The Tax & Economic Justice Program offers services for tax controversies with the IRS, specifically tax court litigation, IRS exams & audits, IRS appeals, and much more. The Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic blog gives important insight into tax-related issues that our clients deal with. The Re-entry Justice Program offers expungement services through our Expungement Help Desk. The Immigrant & Survivor Justice Program offers services for immigration matters, such as green card applications, citizenship, family reunification, and much more. Referrals can be given to immigrants who need help with legal issues that aren’t connected to immigration status. The “Consult with a Lawyer” Program offers free general legal advice and counsel through one of the Clinic’s trusted volunteer attorneys. The Online Legal Help Program offers free general legal advice for Indiana residents outside of Marion, Johnson, Hamilton, and Hendricks counties regarding non-criminal legal issues.
