Services Description: Founded November 2018, Minority Recovery Collective Inc. (MRCI "mercy") is a peer-led healing community of individuals and businesses working together to provide no cost recovery (addiction, mental health, & trauma) support programs and services to Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) throughout the state of Indiana. Trained and certified as Peer Professionals, our staff assist BIPOC looking to heal from addiction, mental health challenges, trauma, and other circumstances that negatively affect one's quality of life. We believe in the power of self-accountability and peer support to promote intrinsic healing. Based in Indianapolis, IN, our collective provides the following peer-based recovery support services in Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, Marion, Morgan, Putnam, Rush, and Shelby counties: one-on-one peer counseling; support groups; peer education; resource access/navigation assistance (connecting persons served to other services in the community for a more comprehensive approach).

Services Description: CHARIOT is an anonymous overdose risk text alert system operated by Overdose Lifeline. Subscribers can learn about emerging overdose risk events through Marion County (contaminated batches, drug seizures, & overdose spikes), text anonymous reports of contaminated batches to the system, and receives alerts about CHARIOT outreach in response to these events to gain access to harm reduction supplies such as naloxone and testing strips. Our Syringe Exchange operates out of Aspire Indiana Health's building located at 2506 Willowbrook Parkway (just south of the Step-Up, Inc. office). Enter through their front door and follow the signage in the hallway to find the syringe exchange. All non-syringe harm reduction distribution can be accessed by checking in at the front desk at the Step-Up, Inc. office building.
