Oxford Houses are single family homes for individuals in recovery from alcoholism and drug addiction. Individuals in recovery can live in an Oxford House as long as they stay drug and alcohol free and pay an equal amount of the household expenses. The homes are self-run and utilize rented, nice, single-family houses keeping expansion costs low. Houses are available to men, women, women with children and men with children. Today, there are more than 3200 Oxford Houses throughout the United States and in several other countries.

Pathway helps homeless individuals overcome addictive and mental disorders to become stable, financially self-sufficient and permanently housed. This is accomplished by providing three phases of substance-free, income-based recovery housing to nearly 100 participants. The entry level program “Pathway-1”, has a minimum six month stay and provides structure and support to 24-men. Successful discharge criteria is defined as: Substance-free (from drugs/alcohol), Mentally Stable (compliance with goal plan) and Self-sufficient (gainfully employed and paying rent). By providing peer-driven, community-based, substance-free housing and simultaneously addressing both addictive and mental disorders, participants can build strong foundations to sustain long term recovery, prepare for healthy independent living and placement in permanent housing.
